Prevalence of Pain (POP) is a data-connectivity project designed to comprehensively assess the global prevalence of chronic pain conditions. The study addresses key questions on prevalence, efficacy of interventions, and understanding common denominators. The data connectivity approach uses an evidence synthesis method using peer review and published data in English covering a period of January 1990 to April 2021'. The project includes all genders, ethnicities, geographical locations and those above the age of 18 years with chronic pain. Other exposures explored include neurological, psychological, and neuropsychiatric features to better understand correlation with a diverse array of licenced pharmaceutical drugs, complex interventions that are minimally invasive and medical devices. Despite advances in acute pain management, chronic pain is inadequately managed due to a variety of complexities. The health outcomes reported involve a comprehensive list clinical and patient reported outcomes.
