Vindya Pathiraja is an Academic Pharmacologist with a special interest in Women’s Health including and not limited to Hormonal therapies. Her expertise and experience extend to Evidence Synthesis and Clinical Trials. She is currently the Head of the Department (HOD) and a Senior Lecturer for Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka. She is supervisor for more than ten undergraduates every year and few postgraduate students.
Her interest in Epidemiology and Designing evidence-based interventions led her to explore a PhD within the realm of menopause. Vindya aims to demonstrate the efficacy and effectiveness of the MARiE Tool among Sri Lankan population and, Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) dispensing patterns within South Asia
Tharanga Mudalige is an academic professional and researcher at the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka, since 2022. With a robust clinical background encompassing 15 years of diverse experience in clinical nursing, she is actively involved in the Sri Lankan arm of the MARIE Global project, focusing on women's health, while pursuing a PhD within Work Package-2. which aims to "report physical and mental health impacts of menopause among Sri Lankan women using a mixed method approach".
Ms. Mudalige is an honorary research associate at the College of Medical and Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham, UK. Her primary focus is on improving healthcare responsiveness and advocating for patient rights. Additionally, she is dedicated to mentoring and guiding undergraduates.
Neha Raghuraman is a Pharm.D graduate with a strong foundation in clinical pharmacy practice, specializing in the safe and effective use of medications, where she gained valuable insights into patient needs and the complexities of healthcare delivery. This experience fuels her passion for improving population health outcomes, leading her to pursue a Master of Public Health. She is keen on research within the field of public health, focusing on the current and urgent health issues and trying to find new approaches to improve population health outcomes and is an active contributor to the scientific community, participating in peer-reviewed publications and research initiatives.
She is particularly interested in translating her clinical knowledge into public health initiatives, focusing on areas such as women's health and clinical trials. Her current project is exploring Systemic issues linked to clinical trial designs in Obstetrics and Gynaecology studies using an Evidence Synthesis approach.
Nimesha Wijayamuni is a clinical academic in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery at the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Sri Lanka. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Honours) from the University of Ruhuna and is currently pursuing a PhD as part of a prestigious Global Violence Against Womena nd Children Project (SATYA). Her work will focus on Souther Asia (ANULAProject), focusing on "Exploring and evaluating Violence against Women and Girls in Southern Asia." Her research is deeply rooted in understanding the social issues affecting women and girls in the region, with a particular emphasis on the profound impacts of violence.
Beyond her work with the ANULA Project, Ms. Wijayamuni is actively contributing to various research initiatives, including a critical investigation into the unreported and unevaluated neglected communicable disease, leptospirosis. Her academic pursuits are centered on enhancing public health awareness and responses, with a particular focus on neglected diseases and the health challenges faced by women. Through her dedication and research, Ms. Wijayamuni aims to foster positive change and improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations.
Mohammad Haddadi is a medical doctor and researcher specialising in obstetrics, gynecology, reproductive health, and neonatal care, with numerous publications in high-impact journals. He has participated in global health initiatives, including WHO projects and the Global Burden of Disease study. With expertise in systematic reviews, epidemiological studies, and clinical research, Mohammad is committed to advancing evidence-based medicine and enhancing healthcare outcomes..
He is particularly interested in translating his clinical knowledge into public health initiatives, focusing on areas such as women's health. He is currently working on the KATERINE project, as well as playing a supportive role on several other projects. .
